It’s 1pm but it’s sleep time for me! On night duty at the hospital tonight so I’ll be working 9pm-7.30am!

Sometimes at night when the world is dreaming of others, I lie with you. You take my hand in your sleep. In your deep slumber I can pull you close to me without waking you and feel your body fold into mine. I lie awake, listening to your gentle breathing, certain that I can hear your heart beating. I love you, I whisper and in response, a gentle sigh escapes your lips.
In the morning we wake. “You snored last night” you tease, as you do every morning.
I fell in love with you again last night, I think to myself. We fell in love again.

Turns out the heart palpitations and shortness of breath I often get are SVT (supra ventricular tachycardia). Easily treatable and quite common.
