Ready for night duty! 9pm-7.30am come at me.

It’s 1pm but it’s sleep time for me! On night duty at the hospital tonight so I’ll be working 9pm-7.30am!

In your deep slumber I can pull you close to me without waking you and feel your body fold into mine. I lie awake, listening to your gentle breathing, certain that I can hear your heart beating. In the morning we wake. “You snored last night” you tease, as you do every morning.
