I do. However, I try to keep my facebook seperate from my tumblr. Tumblr is a place where I can get away from the daily grind and pour my heart out, so I tend avoid marrying the two. I have skype though :) if you’d like to talk to me come off anon and I’ll give you my skype name.
To all my beautiful followers who hold me up and support me in all I do
You make my world that little bit more complete.
The support you give to my writing touches my heart every single time. Some of the comments I have received from you have brought tears to my eyes, generated by the pure joy I get from knowing that you have felt my words. I can’t thank you enough.. all of you. Those who click the little heart to those of you that write a message in my ask box or reply to the post.
You give my writing life because it has meant something to you and that means everything to me.
It is amazing how you can reach a person through the written word and it is a significant part of why I write. Your compliment is a perfect example of this. You have completely touched my heart. Thank you.
I do wish you weren’t anon so that I would know who to thank.
At some point in our lives, we all become subject to our vulnerability. Some of us will only ever experience this once, learning from the first time and never returning to that point. Expending all of their energy on keeping their heart closed. Others of us, the majority of us, will be consumed by this vulnerability time and time again. We open our hearts because they are designed to love, in the same way that we drive cars because they are designed to be driven. Sometimes the feelings that we let into our heart feel as though they are destroying it. Sometimes our vulnerability brings us to our knees and we beg ourselves to close off again. But we keep opening up. Why?
Because one day our hearts will be consumed by the love that it is designed to hold and it will be greater and stronger for filtering through all of the hurt and strain.
Just know that, when the time comes, you will know the greatest love because you have known the greatest pain.
"No fear. You can’t hesitate. If you hesitate you’re going to do one of two things. You’ll either drop off the back of that wave, or you will eat shit. You can’t think about it. You have to just wait for that lift and get up."
One of the greatest surfing lessons (and possibly even life lesson) that I’ve ever been given.
